After 8 hours, the putty can be drilled, tapped, machined, ground, filed, and painted. It cures to a tough, hard bond with little to no shrinkage and is rated at a tensile strength of 800 PSI, curing to a machine grey in color.

J-B Weld High Heat Epoxy Putty is able to withstand continuous heat exposure of 400 degrees Fahrenheit and intermittent heat exposure to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, making it perfect for use on automotive metal, tail pipes, mufflers, machinery, engine blocks, and exhaust manifolds.

To use the product, simply cut off the required amount of putty, thoroughly knead it with your fingers to a uniform color, and then press the putty firmly to the surface to be repaired.
